Digitaler Zwilling erschließt medizinisches Hightech-Ökosystem
Das unter der Federführung des Forschungscampus STIMULATE mit weiteren Partnern initiierte Hightech-Ökosystem "transPORT" schafft mit dem Werkstattvorhaben "transDIGITAL" einen virtuellen Raum, um den Wissenschaftshafen Magdeburg mithilfe eines "Digitalen Zwillings" zu erleben. Ein digitaler Zwilling ist ein dynamisches, interaktives, digitales Abbild der Wirklichkeit. Grundlage dafür ist unter anderem die Visualisierung der physischen Bausubstanz, Infrastrukturanlagen und -einrichtungen sowie quartiersspezifischer Prozesse, Systeme und Angebote und die Möglichkeiten eines Informationsfeedbacks für die Bürger:innen und Besuchenden des Stadtquartiers. Dies ermöglicht – neben einer erhöhten Sichtbarkeit für den lokalen Standort Magdeburg – die digitale Bereitstellung von Services, Wissen und Vernetzungsmöglichkeiten aus dem Wissenschaftshafen als urbanes Ökosystem und Hightech-Zentrum für Medizintechnik mit überregionaler Wirk- und Sogkraft in die ganze Welt hinaus.
Dafür wird in einem ersten Schritt der digitale Zwilling als Austausch- und Kommunikationsplattform implementiert. Im weiteren Verlauf wird diese dann um verschiedene Interaktionsmöglichkeiten für die Öffentlichkeit ausgebaut und Wissen mit Interaktionsformaten bereitgestellt. Vielfältige begleitende partizipatorische Transfer-, Austausch- und Experimentierformate zu verschiedenen Themen wie Wissenschaft (Medizintechnik, innovative Studierendenförderung), Wirtschaft (Start-ups, KMU, Nachwuchs) und Kultur, laden insbesondere die Zivilgesellschaft sowohl über den digitalen Zwilling als auch im Rahmen der Gesamtinitiative transPORT – Transferhafen Magdeburg zum Mitgestalten des Quartiers ein.
transDITIGAL ist eines von zehn Teilprojekten der Gesamtinitiative transPORT – Transferhafen Magdeburg, gefördert durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung in der Programmlinie T!Raum – Transferräume für die Zukunft von Regionen.
ZUM HINTERGRUND
Die Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg hat unter Federführung des Forschungscampus STIMULATE mit weiteren Partnern erfolgreich Mittel eingeworben, um die Entwicklung des Wissenschaftshafens in ein modernes Stadtquartier und Ökosystem zu unterstützen. Hier sollen innovative Forschung, Hightech-Unternehmen mit attraktiven Arbeitsplätzen, modernes Wohnen sowie vielfältige Freizeit- und Kulturangebote eine Sogwirkung erzeugen und sich gegenseitig verstärken. Durch die enge infrastrukturelle und inhaltliche Verzahnung der vier Bereiche Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft, Wohnen und Wohlfühlen versprechen sich die Initiator:innen, auf der Grundlage bisheriger erfolgreicher Ansiedlungsstrategien des Forschungscampus STIMULATE sowie neuer Themen und Wege der Firmengründung, den Standort Magdeburg zu stärken.
Wichtige Partner dabei sind die Landeshauptstadt Magdeburg, das Fraunhofer-Institut für Fabrikbetrieb und –automatisierung sowie die Unternehmen Neoscan Solutions GmbH, Agromex Invest GmbH, VISUALIMPRESSION GmbH, das Innovations- und Gründerzentrum Magdeburg und die GETEC PM Magdeburg GmbH.

Digital twin opens up high-tech medical ecosystem
With the "transDIGITAL" workshop project, the high-tech ecosystem "transPORT", initiated under the leadership of the Research Campus STIMULATE with other partners, is creating a virtual space to experience Magdeburg's port of science with the help of a "digital twin". A digital twin is a dynamic, interactive, digital image of reality. The basis for this is, among other things, the visualization of the physical building fabric, infrastructure systems and facilities as well as district-specific processes, systems and offers and the possibility of information feedback for citizens and visitors to the urban district. In addition to increasing the visibility of Magdeburg as a local location, this enables the digital provision of services, knowledge and networking opportunities from the Port of Science as an urban ecosystem and high-tech center for medical technology with supra-regional impact and pull throughout the world.
In a first step, the digital twin will be implemented as an exchange and communication platform. This will then be expanded to include various interaction options for the public and knowledge will be made available with interaction formats. A wide range of accompanying participatory transfer, exchange and experimentation formats on various topics such as science (medical technology, innovative student support), business (start-ups, SMEs, young talent) and culture invite civil society in particular to help shape the district both via the digital twin and as part of the overall transPORT - Transferhafen Magdeburg initiative.
transDITIGAL is one of ten sub-projects of the overall initiative transPORT - Transferhafen Magdeburg, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the program line T!Raum - Transfer Spaces for the Future of Regions.
BACKGROUND
Under the leadership of the Research Campus STIMULATE, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and other partners have successfully raised funds to support the development of the Port of Science into a modern urban quarter and ecosystem. Here, innovative research, high-tech companies with attractive workplaces, modern living and a wide range of leisure and cultural activities are to create a pull effect and reinforce each other. By closely interlinking the four areas of science, business, living and well-being in terms of infrastructure and content, the initiators hope to strengthen Magdeburg as a business location on the basis of the STIMULATE research campus's successful settlement strategies to date as well as new topics and ways of setting up companies.
Important partners are the state capital Magdeburg, the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation as well as the companies Neoscan Solutions GmbH, Agromex Invest GmbH, VISUALIMPRESSION GmbH, the Magdeburg Innovation and Start-up Center and GETEC PM Magdeburg GmbH.
