Forschungsgruppe Medical Flows auf 50. internationaler Tagung der European Society of Artificial Organs
Zum 50. Jubiläum der European Society of Artifical Organs trafen sich internationale Forschende vom 7.9.-11.9. in Aachen, um ihre aktuellen Forschungsprojekte im Bereich der Medizintechnik vorzustellen und zu diskutieren. Drei STIMULATE Mitarbeitende der Forschungsgruppe Medical Flows stellten aktuelle Ergebnisse ihrer Projekte vor. Fokus hierbei lag auf multimodaler Bildgebung in Verbindung mit Blutflusssimulationen, sowie der numerischen Untersuchung verschiedener Behandlungsmöglichkeiten für Hirnaneurysmen. Die STIMULATE-Mitarbeitenden Jana Korte, Janneck Stahl und Philipp Berg waren an insgesamt vier Beiträgen beteiligt:

Neben den Forschungsvorträgen konnte ein Austausch mit bestehenden Kooperationen zu Forschungsgruppen an der Charité Berlin, RWTH Aachen und MHH Hannover weiter gestärkt werden. Zudem erfolgte die Anbahnung von Kollaborationen mit Forschungsgruppen der Politecnico Milano und der University of Bath.
Bereits im Vorfeld der Hauptkonferenz nahm Jana Korte an der Organisation der youngESAO teil. Diese bietet eine europaweit einzigartige Möglichkeit für PhDs und young PostDocs, sich zu vernetzen und wertvolle Grundlagen im Bereich des wissenschaftlichen Austausches zu erlernen.
Medical Flows research group at the 50th international conference of the European Society of Artificial Organs
To mark the 50th anniversary of the European Society of Artificial Organs, international researchers met in Aachen from 7-11 September to present and discuss their current research projects in the field of medical technology. Three STIMULATE employees from the Medical Flows research group presented the latest results of their projects. The focus here was on multimodal imaging in conjunction with blood flow simulations, as well as the numerical investigation of various treatment options for brain aneurysms. In addition to the research presentations, an exchange with existing collaborations with research groups at Charité Berlin, RWTH Aachen and MHH Hannover was further strengthened. Collaborations were also initiated with research groups at the Politecnico Milano and the University of Bath.
In the run-up to the main conference, Jana Korte took part in the organisation of the youngESAO. This offers a unique European opportunity for PhDs and young postdocs to network and learn valuable basics in the field of scientific exchange.
