Startup Elevator: Investment Bootcamp am Forschungscampus STIMULATE
Am 27. März 2025 hatten sechs Startups aus Magdeburg und Halle die Möglichkeit, ihre Unternehmen und Unternehmensideen mit Unterstützung erfahrener Gründungsteams im Rahmen des speziell entwickelten „Investment Bootcamps“ am Forschungscampus STIMULATE in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Technologiepark Weinbergcampus auf den Markt vorzubereiten. Das Programm bot wertvolle Einblicke und praxisnahes Wissen, das die jungen Unternehmer dabei unterstützte, ihre Geschäftsmodelle weiter zu schärfen und sich optimal für den Wettbewerb im Markt zu positionieren.
Ein Highlight des Tages war der Vortrag von Ramon Thomas, ehemals Mitgründer von Urwahn, einem Unternehmen, das sich auf individualisierbare E-Bikes mit 3D-gedruckten Fahrradrahmen spezialisiert hat. Ramon teilte offen die Höhen und Tiefen seiner Gründungsgeschichte und sprach aus eigener Erfahrung über die wichtigsten Faktoren für den Erfolg eines Startups. Besonders betonte er die Bedeutung eines klaren Unique Selling Points (USP), der für die Abgrenzung im Markt entscheidend ist, sowie die effektive Nutzung unterschiedlicher Vertriebskanäle und Marketingstrategien. Erfahrungen aus der Praxis zeigte er auch im Bereich des Kundenmanagements, der Akquise von Investoren und der Nutzung von ERP-Systemen, die verschiedene Prozesse innerhalb eines Unternehmens miteinander verbinden und automatisieren.
Die Gründerteams erhielten während des Bootcamps nicht nur wertvolle Einblicke in die Gründungserfahrungen, sondern auch die Möglichkeit, ihre offenen Fragen direkt an die erfahrenen Gründer zu stellen und von deren Wissen zu profitieren. Zudem bekamen die Teilnehmenden bei einer kurzen Führung durch den Forschungscampus STIMULATE einen praktischen Einblick in die Infrastruktur und die innovativen Projekte, die am Standort entwickelt werden.
Ein besonderer Dank geht an die Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt, die den jungen Unternehmen im Anschluss eine Vielzahl an Förderinstrumenten des Landes vorstellte, um ihre Wachstumschancen weiter zu verbessern.
Mit der Werkstatt transFORM im TransferRaum-Projekt transPORT wird am Forschungscampus STIMULATE eine hervorragende Plattform für die Unterstützung von Startups und Gründungsprojekten geboten. Wir freuen uns darauf, auch zukünftig jungen Unternehmen durch maßgeschneiderte Programme und erfahrene Mentoren zu einer erfolgreichen Markteinführung zu verhelfen.
Startup Elevator: Investment Bootcamp at the Research Campus STIMULATE
On 27 March 2025, six start-ups from Magdeburg and Halle had the opportunity to prepare their companies and business ideas for the market with the support of experienced start-up teams as part of the specially developed ‘Investment Bootcamp’ at the Research Campus STIMULATE in cooperation with the Weinbergcampus technology park. The programme offered valuable insights and practical knowledge that helped the young entrepreneurs to further hone their business models and optimally position themselves for competition in the market.
A highlight of the day was the presentation by Ramon Thomas, former co-founder of Urwahn, a company specialising in customisable e-bikes with 3D-printed bicycle frames. Ramon openly shared the highs and lows of his start-up story and spoke from his own experience about the most important factors for the success of a start-up. He particularly emphasised the importance of a clear Unique Selling Point (USP), which is crucial for differentiation in the market, as well as the effective use of different sales channels and marketing strategies. He also shared practical experience in the areas of customer management, the acquisition of investors and the use of ERP systems that link and automate various processes within a company.
During the boot camp, the founding teams not only gained valuable insights into the founding experience, but also had the opportunity to ask their open questions directly to the experienced founders and benefit from their knowledge. In addition, the participants were given a short tour of the Research Campus STIMULATE to gain a practical insight into the infrastructure and the innovative projects being developed at the site.
Special thanks go to the Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt, which then presented the young companies with a variety of funding instruments from the state to further improve their growth opportunities.
The transFORM workshop in the TransferRaum project transPORT provides an excellent platform for supporting start-ups and start-up projects at the Research Campus STIMULATE.
